The Community of Portland Drops the Useless Cloak JTTF

It has just been announced that on February 5th the Portland City Council will meet to discuss in public the so-called Joint Terrorism Task Force.

I re-iterate here that a vote to withdraw from JTTF would constitute a reason for the Grouch of Northeast Weidler to start eating again. That is, me. I would if the City council votes to withdraw from JTTF on 5 February (or any other day) start eating.

Come to the City Council meeting on Wednesday, 5 February 2015. Tell the Old Grouch he’s a shameless self-seeker; comment on his poor taste in ascots.

Update 27 January: Your Intrepid Reporter confesses himself unsure whether the meeting is on a Wednesday or a Thursday, but promises to investigate. Which in practice means, Ask Joe Walsh, next time I see him.

Update 30 January, 5:30 pm: It’s Thursday, February 5th, at 5 pm. But there’s no intention by Charlie Hales to honor his commitment to withdraw from the JTTF if he could not get security clearance (the which he did not get); au contraire, all the resolutions on which the Great Unwashed are invited to comment weaken the reporting requirement.
