Joint Terrorism Task Force

Michael Meo announced today that withdrawal of the City of Portland from the Joint Terrorism Task Force would constitute reason for him to abandon his fast.

Update 23 December: news today from Portland Copwatch

OK, so, it’s changed AGAIN…

I gather that when a request went to Council to hold an evening hearing on the JTTF, they were not able to schedule it on the same day they set the (already postponed) hearing, so the upcoming agenda items now says that the hearing will be on Thursday, February 5 at 5:00 PM. (Which still isn’t great for people who get off work at 5 PM but I hope we have a big enough crowd that they won’t be there “late” after heading downtown).

So please re-re-mark your calendars. I suppose it’s possible it will change again but who knows.

They can put it off until I’m dead, but it will say something about the government.
