Dear David North,

Your decisive support in the early ’80s, now more than thirty years into the past, is the main reason why the English translation of Karl Marx’s Mathematical Manuscripts saw the light.

At our last meeting, my distinguished Comrade North, I was no more sober than I am now —

–is it the day? is it the week? —

after legalization of recreational use of marijuana in the State of Oregon.

I ask you honorably to acknowledge that at that negotiation held among you, me, Aronson, and some Party representative from Britain, you promised title-page credit in return for our giving you, gratis, the work done by the since departed Aronson and the now greying Your Intrepid Reporter.

Please make a true statement regarding a pledge of honor more than a generation ago.

Michael Meo

  1. Christian says:

    Mr. Meo,

I am the scoutmaster for Troop 113 in Portland. I would like to make arrangements for our scouts to meet with you in connection to a rank requirement for the First Class rank:
    5. Visit and discuss with a selected individual approved by your leader (elected official, judge, attorney, civil servant, principal, teacher) your constitutional rights and obligations as a U.S. citizen.

Your recent campaign for governor would be of particular interest to us.

Would you be available on January 7th or 28th for such a meeting?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

    • M. Meo says:

      Dear Christian,

I am available on Wednesdays, so either or both; but you may be looking for some fellow named Justin Levin, who ran for governor. I ran for United States Congress.

      Cordially yours,

      Michael Meo
secretary Cascadia Chapter of the Pacific Green Party of Oregon
