A Hint of Compromise

This morning we awoke, we North Americans, to the unexpected news that Novoazovsk was taken by the Ukrainian separatists.
[If I were more computer-savvy I would post a map here]

This evening, at the conclusion of a summit between Poroshenko of Ukraine and Putin of Russia, one spoke of cease-fire — which your Intrepid Reporter recommended as long ago as the Fall of Sloviansk.

But what do I know, a retired math teacher with no campaign funds.

As one used to say here, Post Scriptum, but I believe present usage is Update:
